'Stay out of (our) business': Cowboys' Trevon Diggs, Dak Prescott shrug off trash talk

After videos emerged on social media of Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs chirping at star quarterback Dak Prescott in a practice, Diggs pushed back on the notion that there was bad blood between the two.
The video was shared Tuesday during one of Dallas' training camp practices at Oxnard, California. In it, Prescott took a snap and then did not find an open receiver, so he leaked out of the pocket to the right side of the field, where Diggs and defensive tackle Osa Odighizuwa met him. After the play, Prescott and Diggs appear to exchange words, with Diggs being vocal in his trash talk.
Speculation emerged on social media about the strength of Prescott's relationship with Diggs, who on Thursday dismissed the idea.
“Stay out of (our) business,” Diggs said of the criticism. “Stay out of it. People don’t need to worry about what we’ve got going on — our relationship, my relationship with my brother, or how we operate. At the end of the day, it’s our team and Dak is the leader of our team.”
Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro selection, has been Prescott's teammate for three seasons. For his part, Prescott also downplayed the matter.
"I might honestly talk the most," Prescott told reporters Thursday in a news conference. "I start a lot of it.
"I open the door and make people feel comfortable."
Prescott, 30, is in his eighth season as the Cowboys quarterback. The two-time Pro Bowler has been a mostly consistent player for Dallas, though he led the NFL with 15 interceptions last season — most of which were the result of tipped or dropped passes.
“I feel like it makes practice fun, just coming out here and competing,” Diggs said. “At the end of the day, that’s my brother. I love Dak to death, There’s nothing behind it, it’s just competitiveness. It’s football. It’s just how we play. It’s just practice. That’s just what we do. We just talk trash here and there and keep it pushing.”
